Prof. Dr. Nicolas Jabko

 

Prof. Dr. Nicolas Jabko (Ph.D., University of California at Berkeley) is research director at SciencesPo Paris, where he teaches political science, and affiliate professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (Bologna Center).  His research interests are in international political economy with a focus on the European Union.  He is the author of Le Double Visage de l’Union européenne (Presses de Sciences Po, forthcoming 2008) and Playing the Market: A Political Strategy for Uniting Europe, 1985-2005 (Cornell University Press, 2006), co-editor of the 8th volume of the State of the European Union series (Oxford University Press, 2005).  He has also held research positions at Princeton University's Center of International Studies, at the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (IFRI), and at the Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy (BRIE).

 

Course: The politics of the European Union's economy

At the Jean Monnet Chair for Politcal Science he gave a course for graduate students on “The politics of the European Union's economy” during the spring semester 2009.
