Project Manager

Mirja Schröder, Dipl. Vw., Jean Monnet Chair for Political Science, University of Cologne

Mirja Schröder is Research Associate at the Jean Monnet Chair for European Politics at the Institute of Political Sciences and European Affairs. She finished her studies (University Cologne, Institut d’Etudes Politiques Lyon) in 2010. Today, she is programme director of the Franco-German network THESEUS. Her main research interests are European energy policy, the role of the Franco-German relationship for European integration as well as economic governance and policy coordination within the EU. 

 

Project Officer

Aline Bartenstein, Master of Arts, Jean Monnet Chair for Political Science, University of Cologne

Aline Bartenstein is Research Associate at the Jean Monnet Chair for European Politics of the University of Cologne. She holds a Master degree in Political Science and Energy Economics. She has studied at the universities of Cologne, Montpellier, Brno and Magdeburg. Her main research interests are the development of European energy and climate policy with a special focus on EU External Action and institutional settings. 

 

 

 

 

Project Assistant 

Katrin Schmermund, Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Jean Monnet Chair for Political Science, University of Cologne

Katrin Schmermund is Student Assistant at the Jean Monnet Chair for European Politics of the University of Cologne. She is enrolled in the university's Master's programme of Political Science and holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism of the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt, including an exchange semester at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Her main study interest lies in European politics, especially in comparative social and employment policy and the relationship of public opinion, news coverage and voting behaviour.
