THESEUS Seminar for Young Leaders 2013

"The Future of EU Economic Governance", 17.-21.06.2013, Fondation Universitaire, Brussels

To promote interdisciplinary and international networks among a new generation of Europeans, each year the THESEUS Seminars look for 20 excellent young professionals and researchers to discuss European challenges with high-level experts and decision makers. In view of the current debate on Economic Governance in Europe, the seminar will deal with a Moot Court simulation. Three days of intensive preparation will be followed by the Simulation exercise.

THESEUS PhD Workshop on "The EU and the global crisis: challenges to EU Governance, Policy responses and the legitimacy gap"

This year's THESEUS PhD workshop on "The EU and the global crisis: challenges to EU governance, policy responses and the legitimacy gap will take place on 21 and 22 May 2013 in Paris. This doctoral seminar will allow doctoral students to exchange ideas and discuss their research with their peers and senior academic colleagues.

First THESEUS Publication “European leadership in challenging times – academia & politics in dialogue” has been released

„European leadership in challenging times – academia & politics in dialogue” gives an overview over the activities that have been realised between 2009 and 2011 within the THESEUS project. Researchers and practitioners like Prof. Helen Wallace (London School of Economics), Prof. Christian Lequesne (Sciences Po Paris), Dr. Angelica Schwall-Düren, the Minister for Federal Affairs, Europe and the Media of the State North Rhine-Westphalia and Dr. Dietrich von Kyaw, Ambassador rtd. and former Permanent Representative of Germany to the EU, discussed the principal challenges that faces the EU nowadays.
